I am running to represent Turtle Mountain because this is home.
My wife Kendra and I are raising our family here. We own and operate businesses here. We volunteer in our communities, serve on local boards, and work alongside the people who make this region such a great place to live. I understand the opportunities and challenges facing rural Manitoba because I live them every day.
Over the past 25 years, I have built businesses, worked with organizations across Manitoba, and served in local government as a municipal councillor. Those experiences have taught me that leadership is not about titles or politics. It is about showing up, listening, building relationships, and getting things done.
I am running because I believe Turtle Mountain deserves a strong voice that is rooted in our communities and focused on the future. We need to grow jobs and opportunities, strengthen healthcare, support agriculture, improve infrastructure, and ensure our young people can build successful lives right here at home.
Turtle Mountain is filled with hardworking people, innovative businesses, strong farms, and communities that care deeply about one another. I believe our best days are ahead of us, but only if we continue investing in the people and places that make this region strong.
My commitment is simple: to be a steady, practical voice for Turtle Mountain and a strong advocate for the people who call this place home.

Why Edna Nabess?
Everything I am today began here in northern Manitoba.
I was born in Cormorant, raised in the traditions of Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, built a business in The Pas, and have spent my life working alongside families and communities throughout the North. The people, cultures, and communities of The Pas–Kameesak have shaped who I am. This is home.
I am running because I believe our communities deserve a strong voice someone who understands the North not because they've read about it, but because they've lived it.
Throughout my life, I have worked to create opportunities for others. Whether supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs, raising a family, opening my home to foster children, helping young people in remote communities, or serving on provincial boards, my purpose has always been the same: to leave my community stronger than I found it.
I believe The Pas–Kameesak has one of the brightest futures in Manitoba. Our region is home to hardworking people, proud Indigenous communities, abundant natural resources, thriving tourism, forestry, mining, fishing, trapping, agriculture, and small businesses that have supported northern families for generations. We have everything we need to succeed. What we need is leadership that believes in our people, works in partnership with our communities, and creates the opportunities that will keep our young people here, attract new investment, and build a stronger future for everyone.
I want to be a strong voice for every community across this riding from The Pas and Opaskwayak Cree Nation to Cormorant, Moose Lake, Pukatawagan, Grand Rapids, Easterville, and every community in between. Every community deserves to be heard. Every family deserves opportunity. Every young person deserves a reason to build their future right here in northern Manitoba.
Politics has never been my ambition. Service has. Serving as your MLA is simply another way I can continue the work I have dedicated my life to listening to people, bringing communities together, and helping build a stronger future for northern Manitoba.
